From February 25th to 26th in Warsaw there was held Beauty Congress along with the trade fair Salon Spring 2012. The editorial office of „Paznokcie” magazine was a co-organizer of a lectures on nail stylization and nail art. A special guest of the event was a world famous icon of nail art – Valentina Denisenko from Ukraine.
During a 3-hour lecture Valentina Denisenko presented a dozen or so elegant nail stylization, ideal for special occasions like a wedding, and also a very interesting floral designs using acrylic or water-paint technique. The audience (mainly students of beauty schools) was amazed with a style of work of Valentina, especially that it was the first opportunity to see live this kind of star. In the end of congress each participant received a certificate decorated with Valentina Denisenko artwork.
The next guest of the congress was an extremely talented and well-known in the nail’s world Polish stylist – Ilona Musik, who presented top trends in nail designing in season spring-summer 2012. Pastel shades, fine acrylic flowers, carvings and golden elements could be admired during Ms Ilona Musik presentation.
A technical lecture on avoiding mistakes with cover gel was conducted by Ms Anita Petryszyn-Dopierała. Camouflage material is one of the most frequently used products in everyday work of a salon. It is used with so called “french” stylization (pink&white). Knowledge about ideal and quick application methods, increasing adherence and matching a shade to a customer’s preferences is very important and useful.
Another useful lecture was a presentation of Ms Elbieta Szczepańska treating about pathological changes of hand’s and toe’s nails. It was supported with a very rich visual material which was very interesting to the audience. No surprise as each nail stylist should know what to do in case of identification of any changes of a customer’s nail plate.
Finally Ms Kamila Rakowska and Ms Iwona Kołat demonstrated the newest information technology useful in a pedicure salon which helps in diagnosing, treating and preventing of feet deformations.
