International Nail Care Congress and Trade Fair 2011 – press report
The 10th edition of International Nail Care Congress and Trade Fair, organized by “Paznokcie” magazine, took place in the Novotel Hotel in Warsaw on November 26th and 27th. Elena Veretenko from Ukraine was a special guest of the event. It was her first visit to Poland during which she presented total novelty in nail art – luxurious velour designs.
Undoubtedly Elena Veretenko is an icon of world nail art and a model to follow for a lot of nail stylists. Her nail designs are perfect and extremely precise. Each participant of the congress could see it live and admire stylizations presented during her lecture. Among others she demonstrated velour which became a top design of this edition of the congress. Designs are outstandingly impressive, long-lasting and easy to do.
Another guest of the congress was Dorota Zawisza, who co-operates with the editorial office of our magazine, is the author of a number of technical articles highly evaluated by the stylist and a boss of Nail Design School. She presented methods of wotk with difficult nail plate. Not every customer has a nice natural nail plate so knowledge about concealing any nail plate imperfections is extremely precious. Tips and hints presented by Ms Dorota will be definitely useful with customers who bite their nails or have wide, malformed plate.
Secrets of professional hand and nail massage were revealed by Ms Iwona Nolbert – training director in beauty company DelaWell. This skill seems to be so basic in the nail stylist profession. It is used in many salons as a completion of a total nail stylization or as a separate treatment which is very good for skin and a whole body.
In spite of appearances, being a nail stylist is very stressful and demanding constant contact with people. Coping with customers who are sometimes difficult, managing stress and other difficulties related to being self-employed are very important skills. We couldn’t miss them while planning our congress and that is why we invited Ms Iwona Majewska-Opiełka who shared her good energy and faith in own abilities with us. She also showed a way to success and self-satisfaction of working.
The second day was open to all nail enthusiasts and focused on shopping, novelties and brand presentations. Exhibitors at their stands prepared special discounts and product and trainings demos. Special offers were provided by Astonishing Nails, Bass Cosmetics, DelaWell, Elegance, Euro Fashion, Hand&Nail Harmony, Kabos, Kosmetyka Profesjonalna, Nailco, Perfect Beauty, TASHA Beauty Nails, Wika, “Akademia Paznokcia” magazine and “Paznokcie” magazine.
At the same time in the main congress hall – instructors of selected brands presented their proposals of mainly Christmas and New Year nail stylization. Aleksandra Wąs from Euro Fashion demonstrated beautiful nail designs with use of revolutionary HD Elastic EF exclusive. Ms Anna Sikora from Astonishing Nails and Karolina Musiał from Perfect Beauty offered quick and short salon nail deigns, perfect for upcoming carnival. Nail stylist and designer – Kasia Piątek presented top trends of the autumn/winter 2011/2012 season as well as how to use them in nail stylization. Trendy nail designs were presented by Dorota Zawisza, Ilona Musik, Joanna Rozwadowska and Robert Klonowski.
