XV International Hand and Foot Nail Care Congress
The opening lecture of XV International Hand and Foot Nail Care Congress belonged to Bettina Marton, a talented stylist frum Hungary. „Wedding nail designs” was a main theme of the lecture. The participants really enjoyed the technique presented by Bettina and which was based on shading and contouring. Designs done with this technique had the effect of depth and spatiality.
Next lecture was conducted by Natalia Sielawa, often rewarded nail stylist and nail trainer. We all know that time of work matters. In this busy world customers appreciates professionalism and speed of work. They want to have nail well-done but not necessarily spend 2-3 hours in a salon. Ms Natalia pointed out how many factors influence the timing, from good organization of a work station to the proper selection and quality of materials and equipment.
Pain of back or shoulder is familiar to almost every nail stylist. Long-hours of work in sitting position sooner or later will end up with some changes in osteoarticular system. During the lecture by Paweł Krawczyk titled „Stylist work versus stature disorders and spine pain” participants expected to get a prescription how to properly sit to avoid back pain and causes of disorders. They were surprised that position of the body during work is of less importance than movement and frequent changes of position, namely muscles activation.
Also a lecture by Anna Ziółkowska titled „Meet your customer better – types of personality in salons” won a great interest of the audience. Tutorial during the lecture helped to have a wider view over people we work with and over customers. Knowledge about different types of personalities will be useful not only at work but also in everyday relations.
„Carnival nail art” is a must of Congress which is always held shortly before Christmas and carnival. This time it was conducted by Viktoria Bezeka. During her presentation she not only showed interesting nail designs but also provided a number of useful hints and advice concerning economical side of a stylist work.
The final lecture closing this year congress was a presentation by Viktoria Klopotowa. Not much has to be said to introduce this talented and prize-winning nail stylist. In her lecture she focused on „perfect almond and square” and presented details of proper build of these two shapes from fitting the nail form to finishing. Although a participation in a whole-day lectures was very tired to our attendees, they followed Viktoria’s work with great interest and concentration.
It was a really intensive day, we would like to thank to all participants and sponsors. See you next year!
